For me this meant I must manage our garden workshop without Beth’s daily presence and the back up of the our shop ladies who contribute so much to our production of our lovely products.
My social media was full of stories of empty of supermarket shelves ... and goodness me! No soap!
But here I was with a fantastic new seasons supply of our lovely Palm oil free soap and hand creams. I knew we must try to help and with best foot forward and asked through our social media ~ Who could we help ? How can we help?
Within a week or two parcels were leaving my workshop to local York food banks, our Ripon community hospital and the Harrogate homeless project. I was soon running low on the stock and so I asked my suppliers to help. They came up trumps! And although the labelling and bagging took quite some time we soon had new parcels going out. We also launched a box for a box on our online shop; For every gift box purchased we would send one to a nominated key worker. It’s been fantastic to send our parcels to those a little overlooked; the the ladies at the Richmond job centre, lots of nominated care workers and so many outstanding individuals .
So to all our Key workers we say ...
Thank you for being awesome! ... and the soap for all your hand washing when we can help ~ it is most certainly on us .
